September Update!
September was a VERY busy month thats for sure. My favourite thing about my job is getting to meet new people all of the time and hearing their stories. One thing I can say for sure is that without exception, everyone you meet has a story, and I love hearing them all.
COMEDY BAR PROMO
I have been taking comedy classes at the Comedy Bar Danforth here in Toronto now for almost a year. At first I took stand up comedy classes which I absolulty loved. I was interested in part because I think stand up is truly one of the purest art forms we have, and partly because public speaking scares the crap out of me. Were my stand up comedy jokes great? Probably not, but after 6 months of classes I will say I feel much better about speaking in front of people. Additionally, I really enjoyed meeting both the others students as well as the teachers and people who run the classes. Specifically I met Alex Bondesen who runs the school and we totally hit it off. In fact, she came by the studio and we did brand new headshots for her!
Alex is a total gem and together we created a special 10% off deal for Comedy Bar students and faculty to get headshots done and so far it’s been going incredible. I’ve met some great aspiring comedians - I love hearing their stories and just talking some comedy. Here are some other great headshots from people I’ve been lucky enough to work with. ACTOR HEADSHOTS
As always, I had some incredibly talented Toronto actors come through for headshots. My friend Ryan Rosery from the Canadian Film Centre came through for a quick update. He needed something with a beard and something without for younger roles and I think we nailed both. Love this guy,
Sanja is an actor from Slovenia and we had the best time chatting about traveling all over Europe. She may have convinced me I to check out Slovenia, it sounds incredible!
Can’t forget actress and comedian Heather Sanderson. I’m absolutely OBSESSED with her headshots. Such range and different energies!
Belle was an absolute gem to shoot and I think her acting headshots turned out great. And she introduced me to something called Nigerian micro-dramas!
KIDS HEADSHOTS
Kids headshots are some of my favourite things to shoot. Just so goofy and hilarious! So many talented kid actors here in Toronto!
CORPORATE HEADSHOTS
I do my fare share of business headshots here in Toronto. Love helping people get updated shots for their LinkedIn profiles. I
I also do ongoing work for many companies who send in employees to get professional business headshots done when they get newly hired. One of my favourites to work with is called Myodetox. You may have seen their stores around, they do physiotherapy all over Toronto.
